For the last 5 months I have had to call the social services office to have them deposit my EBT. For some reason when the system was changed, it does not automatically deposit, although I am an eligible and active case. If it happens that my deposit date is on a weekend, as it is this month, I call on the next business day. When I am able to get through, it only takes a moment for the worker to activate the deposit. And each time I’m told that they have identified the problem and it is fixed. It happens again the next month so the only option is to call the office. However, getting through is very difficult.
