Information on Services

Kansas Child Support Services (CSS) helps children receive the financial support necessary for their growth and development. The program assists by establishing parentage and orders for child and medical support, locating noncustodial parents and their property, enforcing child and medical support orders, and modifying support orders as appropriate. CSS automatically serves families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Food Assistance, foster care, and child care assistance. Assistance from CSS is also available to any family regardless of income or residency, who applies for our services.

Hello, I currently live in Hays,Ks. I am also a first time father to a beautiful baby boy who recently turned 2. With only 45 cent in my pocket , joint custody, paying $400 a month for child support, $575 for rent, Attorney fees, ect, it has drained myself financially and mentally. Even household essentials like diapers and clothes have scaled me down to where i had to file a poverty affidavit which has been accepted by the courts. Also I have not yet visited your office, but i do know that I could really use help from your organization if possible, and to inquire information on going about food or cash assistance. Your time is appreciated, thanks you. Rich. B-11/22/19
