DCF, New Bedford

This office is currently trying to recruit new foster parents as the need and demand is very high. What they don't tell you is the abuse and neglect that is going on in their State ran foster homes. Children eating out of trash cans, being made to stand in the corner all night and not let out to go to bed. Swearing and yelling at children after the social worker leaves because the foster parent was called out, and of course denies they did anything wrong. Let another child run around the home exposing their privates and telling other children in the home to kiss their bottom. The list goes on and on. This area office is so desperate for homes, they will take anyone that meets the bare minimum at this point. I have reached out to the Governors Office, the Mayors Office, and even the Ombudsman, and the Commissioner Linda Spears office as well. I even have an E-mail detailing this abuse and neglect between Dcf Attorney and my Attorney telling her about the abuse and neglect and DCF attorney saying that she doesn't think any of that will change the clinical team's mind. Anything goes in this office, anything at least when I had the kids they were not eating out of the trash, or being put in a corner and not let out to go to bed, or having their bathing suit taking away as punishment when the child drank chocolate milk, or not sending lunch to camp or bug spray. This was also documented by the court investigator to and this area office did nothing. They claim they are all about protecting children, but they're not, they rip your family apart even at the most vulnerable times in your life. They give no chances, no help, nothing. They only do it when stuff gets serious and they need to be made to look like they are doing something. change needs to happen. Policy change etc, etc. These children suffered more out of home then they did at home. Since this has happened have enrolled in school for criminal justice as I have now seen this from both sides and see the corruption, greed, lies, manipulation that goes on in this area office.

This is a city office it could use some volunteer work in a few areas maybe a business upgrade for the city, health promoting lobby and children's visiting rooms. Regional DCF could have individual opportunist building and or independence building for young driven business people unless DCF doesn't believe their kids shouldn't have opportunities or simply futures. The managers of the young are not educated enough to fill the shoes of talent agents but yet are found to be destructive of such talents and resilience. I'd love to make it happen or spread it contagiously amidst Massachusetts. Kids Lives Matter
