Reviews
I have dealt with Newton county DFCS for a good long while now, 2006 to be exact. I have had a few fall outs with one or two of the workers( only because they didn't return my phone calls within 24 hours time but was always assigned a new caseload manager. But honestly they were good to me. They always made sure that I had a list of county services...for safety, food, shelter, and the list goes on and on. They care if my kids have a good Christmas...etc..., so really I cannot say they have been all bad..really in my case they have opened doors for my family in some of the worst times. So thanks to Newton Dfcs.. My kids and myself thank you much. And we also wish nothing but the best for you and your families across Newton county and beyond. And to all the social workers at Newton County dfcs you guys n gals have always been patient and helpful with my circle Loren and myself and I wanted to just say ..thanks for showing a little bit of love , especially during the times they did not feel too loved themselves. Thanks.
The worker I spoke with talked down on me and belittled me as a client and as a mother. As a woman who needs and cannot afford insurance and am experiencing a ton of health insurance issues with the possibility of the return of cervical cancer and not being able to afford an appointment to be checked and 2 children who are in need of well visits and 1 a sick visit the worker refused to work with me and even hung up the phone on me. I have yet to receive a call back from anyone at this office and at this point its frustrating. I am contemplating on getting the BBB involved along with a news reporter to document and record this journey on dealing with the Newton County DFCS office so others can be aware on what they are dealing with.
