Mifflin County Children and Youth is the county agency responsible for investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, and providing intervention when needed. The agency works closely with law enforcement, education, counseling, and other professionals to help families resolve the problems that lead to the mistreatment of children.

Children and Youth is also involved in prevention activities. Speakers from the agency are available to address civic, religious, and educational groups at no charge. Topics that can be addressed include: child abuse and neglect, agency policies and practices, state regulations, parenting concerns, and related subjects. Children and Youth provides an Information and Referral service to assist in finding help for family problems. Callers can remain anonymous.

Mifflin County Children and Youth mission is working cooperatively with families in Mifflin County to ensure all children have a safe and stable environment in which to live, grow, and succeed.
