The Department:
Investigates allegations of child abuse and neglect
Administer the state's foster-care system
Work to find permanency for the children and youth, whether through reunification or adoption

It is going 2 months since a case with our family has been opened. I have made numerous attempts to contact our case worker regarding the court ordered assessments and parenting classes. I am not having any such luck. The has been no contact made with the minor child or the guardian of minor child since this case has been opened. Not by DCF case worker or the Guardian adlitem for the minor child. There has been no meetings with DCF to discuss a permanency plan. There has been no contact regarding either the drug and alcohol assessment or the mental health assessments for either parental party.
