Information on Services

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) works with communities to protect children, the elderly, and people with disabilities from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. It also works to protect the health and safety of children in daycare, as well as foster care and other types of 24-hour care. We do this through investigations, services and referrals, regulation, and prevention programs.

DFPS has programs that do this important work:

Adult Protective Services

Child Protective Services

Child Care Licensing

Statewide Intake

Prevention and Early Intervention

Residential Child Care Services

Management Services

Records Management Group

Contract Oversight and Support

I agree im the main care giver for my grandbaby. I passed my drug tests . When she came to my house I didn't teller something about my son because at that time there wasn't a problem. I tried to talk to her and i was told it was my sons case snd she would talk to him. She dismissed me. Now she doesn't want me to keep her. Wow but a man with a long list of violence can and a women who gave up her kids can . Doesn't make a lot of since does it. I have lost all faith in CPS

Cps is nothin but a lie and they dont care about the kids at all. They dont even keep them up to date on Dr. app. but they do make sure to make life bad for the kids in cps.
